ZebraLight Flashlight Naming Guide
ZebraLight is quickly becoming one of the most innovative and high quality lighting manufacturers on the market. This article is meant to help you navigate the ZebraLight flashlight naming system. Each part of the name has a significance and can help you distinguish the features of the different flashlight models.
Part 1: SC or H? Determine flashlight or headlamp
The first part of the name is either an SC or an H.
SC=Flashlight
H=Headlamp
For example, an SC52 and an H52 are the same basic design with the SC52 being the flashlight version and the H52 being the headlamp version.
Part 2: Series number
The second part of a ZebraLight name is the series number: 6, 5, 3, etc. Flashlights and headlamps of the same series typically have similar output levels and run on the same type of battery. For example, flashlights and headlamps in the 6 series (H600, H602, SC600, etc) have high outputs around 1000 lumens and are powered by a single 18650 lithium-ion battery.
Part 3: Beam type indicator
The third part of the model name indicates the type of beam. ZebraLight offers three different beam angles: 80 degree spill light, 12 degree hot spot (standard beam); 90 degree beam spread (floody beam); or 120 degree beam spread (flood beam). The main model numbers in a series will have the standard 80 degree beam pattern. Models with a “F” after the series number will have a 90 degree floody beam with a frosted lens (for example SC52F, H52F, H600F). Models with a “02” in the name will have a 120 degree flood beam pattern.
Standard beam models: SC52, SC52w, H600 Mk II, H600w Mk II, H52, H52w, SC600 Mk II L2, SC600w Mk II L2
Floody beam models: H600F Mk II, H600Fw Mk II, H52F, H52Fw, SC52F, SC52Fw
Flood beam models: H602, H602w, H502, H502w
Part 4: LED Color temperature
The last part of a ZebraLight flashlight model name indicates the color temperature of the LED. Models with a “w” in the name will have a neutral white LED (for example SC52Fw, SC600w Mk II L2, H602w, etc). This means that they will have a warmer, more yellow tone. Models without a “w” in the name will have a cool white LED (for example SC600 Mk II L2, SC52F, H52F, etc). This means that the beam will have a cooler, more bluish hue.
