Fenix LD41 Flashlight Review
There is a new contender for the title of best flashlight – the new Fenix LD41. The Fenix LD41 flashlight is one of the brightest 4 AA flashlights on the market – a whopping 520 lumens in high. But the LD41 is more than lumens – it’s easy to use, it’s got a great beam pattern, and this light is built to last.
The Fenix LD41 has a very durable anodized aluminum body. It’s nothing to mess around with – this light is solid. It has a state of the art Cree XM-L U2 LED that produces a blinding 520 lumens in high. The beam pattern is very smooth – reminiscent of a SureFire flashlight – with a well defined hotspot, corona, and spill light.
The Fenix LD41 uses a dual pushbutton system to make it easy to turn the flashlight on and off and to access all of the 4 different brightness levels, plus strobe and SOS. The larger pushbutton is used for on/off and the smaller button is the mode switch. The on/off button does stick out from the tail of the light, so the LD41 cannot tail stand. There is a molded lanyard hole where you can attach the included wrist lanyard. The Fenix LD41 runs on 4 AA batteries – you can use either alkaline, primary lithium, or rechargeable NiMH AA batteries. To install the batteries, simply unscrew the head, take out the battery carrier, and snap in the 4 AA batteries.
We have also made a video demonstration of the Fenix LD41, so you can see the functionality in action:
Overall, the Fenix LD41 flashlight is a smash hit. The brightness coupled with the ease of use and the affordability of the AA batteries really makes this light a winner.
