New Fenix UC40 Rechargeable Flashlight
A new rechargeable flashlight from Fenix was just announced earlier this week – the Fenix UC40 Rechargeable Flashlight. The UC40 is the first USB rechargeable flashlight in Fenix’s product line. Let’s take a closer look at the specifications:

One of the coolest features of the Fenix UC40 is that it gives you a lot of versatility with batteries. It can run on three different battery types: the included 2600mAh 3.7V li-ion rechargeable battery, a single 18650 li-ion rechargable battery, or two 3V CR123 non-rechargeable lithium batteries. The only battery you can recharge inside the UC40 is the included ARB-L1S battery. The USB port is located on the tail of the flashlight and has a rubber covering to seal up the port when it’s not being charged.
The Fenix UC40 flashlight has 4 brightness levels, plus a strobe function. It has a single pushbutton switch on the body to control all of these functions. If you press and hold the switch for 2 seconds, you can get to strobe mode.
The Fenix UC40 is pretty small compared to many rechargeable flashlights. It will measure just 5.6″ long and weigh just under 5 oz. This will make it similar in size to the Streamlight Strion LED flashlight, making a nice replacement for older and larger rechargeable duty lights.
The Fenix UC40 flashlight is scheduled to begin shipping in early September 2013. It will be available for purchase on BrightGuy.com. BrightGuy stocks over 500 different flashlight models and is an authorized distributor for ZebraLight, Streamlight, SureFire, Fenix, Underwater Kinetics, Princeton Tec, Petzl, LED Lenser, Pelican, and more.
